School Supplies

School supplies are a huge cost for families in need, who are often forced to choose between paying rent, buying groceries and providing the basic necessities for their child’s education. For that reason, Mount Olive has partnered with the Omicron Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in an effort to collect school supplies and donations for needy children in local area elementary and middle schools, who would otherwise go to class without the necessary materials. Often those necessary items include proper clothing and shoes.

In keeping with the Mount Olive's mission of caring, sharing, and loving, our efforts will help children not to worry about having the proper supplies or being teased by others. They will appreciate your donations, as will teachers, who often have to purchase supplies out of their pocket for children whose families cannot afford them.
