Mount Olive provides many opportunities for the church family to use their time, talents and gifts to serve and share the blessings of God.

Audio/Visual Ministry

The purpose of the Audio/Visual Ministry is to enhance the Sunday worship experience by monitoring the sound and visual elements of the service. The ministry records each Sunday service on CD and makes them available for purchase the following Sunday.

Dance and Mime Ministry

It is our mission to make a joyful noise unto the Lord through interpretive dance and mime, and to exalt and edify the body of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

The Praise Dance and Mime ministry's desire is to "present our bodies as a living sacrifice," by ministering in dance and mime to others as the LORD ministers to us. We exist to usher in the presence of the Lord, and to minister in dance and mime in such a way as to bring others into the presence of Christ through praise and worship.

Ministry In Action Newsletter

The Ministry In Action Newsletter seeks to touch the lives of the Church family and the community through positive communications and publications of a spiritual, inspirational, and educational medium. The Ministry In Action Newsletter provides Mount Olive members and visitors with an informative publication filled with current news and ongoing activities within the Church and the neighboring community. The newsletter focuses on events within each of the ministries represented as well as general church news to include a calendar of events.

The newsletter is published, and distributed on the first Sunday of each month. Copies are readily available. Our vision for the Ministry In Action Newsletter is to involve the entire Church body in lifting up and exalting the name of Jesus our Savior with one voice. We welcome your submissions and ideas, as we spread the Gospel of Jesus.

Music Ministry

The Mount Olive Baptist Church New Direction Music Ministry is a Spirit led fun filled Music Ministry whose mission is to make a joyful noise unto the Lord through scripture based Praise and Worship songs to exalt and edify the body of Jesus Christ.

We strive to do this by creating an environment of harmonious singing and fellowship where we can develop and strengthen choir singing, instrumentalist playing. Most importantly, we want to share with each other and those outside the walls of the church, the undeniable love of Jesus the Christ.

New Members Ministry

The New Members Ministry welcomes new members and helps them assimilate into the church family as well as connect persons, gifts, talents, and interest to a church ministry. The goal of this ministry is to have fellowship with new members; provide classes for new members; connect new members with their family tribes and ministry or ministries within the Mount Olive Family.

Security Ministry

At Mount Olive, we have a heart to worship, to fellowship, to learn and apply the Word of God. We accomplish this with a multitude of families and individuals that make up our wonderful church family. It is the privilege and mission of the Security Ministry to ensure that our family and visitors are able to worship, praise and work in a safe environment.

Trustee Ministry

The Trustees serve as stewards of the church's property and material possessions ensuring that safety and physical comforts are provided. Trustees maintain the church building and grounds, serve as liaison between Mount Olive and civil government, businesses and contractors, and maintain appropriate church records.

Tutoring

The Mount Olive Tutoring Program is a free tutorial designed to: provide children in grades 1-12 who need one-to-one support; acquaint children and their parents with information about the public school system; provide enrichment activities for children who wish to extend their knowledge; strengthen student skills in reading/language arts, mathematics and provide test taking strategies.

Usher Ministry

The Usher Ministry is one of the most important and rewarding services in the "Ministry In Action" Family. An usher is the ultimate servant in the church. His/Her actions and demeanor are representative not only of the church, but of the Lord Jesus.

All who enter the doors of Mount Olive Baptist Church are greeted, welcomed and embraced with kindness and love. The Usher's responsibility is to exhibit compassion and sincerity in meeting the physical and spiritual needs of fellow brothers and sisters, as well as any visitors that may be present.
