People Working Together To Build A Healthy Community
Streetlight is a non-profit Christian organization that seeks to build strong community by improving the quality of life for impoverished men, women and children, including the “chronically homeless.” Everyone is welcome, regardless of their faith. Streetlight serves its clients in a compassionate and caring environment that offers dignity, acceptance, and Christ-like love. The organization facilitates personal growth, spiritual renewal, independence and integration into a healthy community.
Streetlight’s goal is to demonstrate God’s love by providing practical assistance for impoverished families and homeless men and women. Streetlight serves this population through our pantry service, a weekly community outreach dinner, financial aid for crisis needs and supportive housing. In addition, the organization reaches out to teens from impoverished homes through its “At-Risk Youth” Program.
Mount Olive supports the efforts of Streetlight to effect change and restoration in the lives of people experiencing overwhelming brokenness and poverty, by ministering at the weekly Harvest Banquet and attending the annual “Home for the Holidays” fundraiser dinner.
